Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

MACIA stores and processes information that may include health-related data. This Acceptable Use Policy sets standards for the responsible use of the service to protect the privacy, security, and wellbeing of all users.

2. Acceptable Use

MACIA is intended for the following purposes:

  • • Preparing for your own aged care IAT assessment, or that of someone you are authorised to assist
  • • Understanding IAT questions, guidance, and the assessment process
  • • Recording assessment answers and personal notes for preparation
  • • Sharing your assessment with trusted people such as carers, advocates, or assessors

3. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • • Enter information about another person without their knowledge and informed consent
  • • Use shared assessments for any purpose other than their intended use
  • • Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
  • • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract content from MACIA
  • • Share your account credentials with others
  • • Use the service for commercial purposes without prior written authorisation
  • • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent security measures
  • • Use the service to harass, intimidate, or cause harm to any person

4. Health Data Responsibility

Because MACIA may store health-related information, you should treat assessment data with appropriate care:

  • • Only share assessments with people you trust
  • • Revoke sharing links when they are no longer needed
  • • Use a strong, unique password for your MACIA account
  • • Log out when using shared or public devices

5. Enforcement

Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in:

  • • A warning about the behaviour
  • • Temporary suspension of your account
  • • Permanent termination of your account

Serious violations may also be reported to relevant authorities.
